The case is about a man who had two wives. After his death, the second wife realised the man had bequeathed all his properties to his first wife and her children. Her grievance was that when the man was alive, it was her and her children who took care of the man at his old age till his time of death so why then would the man leave all his properties to the first wife and leave nothing to the her and her children.
The mediator used negotiation amongst the family of the deceased to settle the dispute. He made the first wife understand that, the deceased also had children with the second wife and if not for the sake of the second wife she should at least consider the children she had with the man so that some of the properties can be given to the children in order to sustain them in life. The first wife agreed and some of the properties were given to the second wife and her children.
